Agah / Pensive Tree // Core Tracings of a Plane Tree

Agâh (Turkish); knowing, foresighted, aware. Made using one of a handful of photographs of an old plane tree's trunk located at the entrance of the Mosque of Süleymaniye. The work is aimed to create a zone of immanence which question the finite properties of the medium, and contemplate on the temporal and spatial aesthetics of detachment.
