Lost in winter 2

French Alps, 7 a.m. I can barely see the first glimmers of dawn, that soft blue light that blends so gently with the golden glow of the fire. Snow fell heavily the day before, and when I woke up, enormous piles had formed on the bushes. They look like giant marshmallows that I'm tempted to melt by the fire and eat for breakfast.
