Goodnight Moon

Hot Creek is a geological wonder with natural hot springs that wind through a rocky gorge and lead out to an absolutely gorgeous view of the Eastern Sierra Mountains. A breathtaking view by day and even more magical at night as the Milky Way core sets perfectly over the peaks. I carefully planned a time-lapse on this night to incorporate the setting crescent moon illuminating the rising steam; which is caused by the magma heated groundwater mixing with the cooler waters of the creek.
