Visual Fidget (Motion Study)

A slow macro glide across a grid of ridged geometric tiles transforms repetition into a tactile experience. Subtle parallax and calibrated lighting emphasize surface texture, allowing the diagonal striations to feel almost physical. Structured and regulated, the motion mirrors the rhythm of a working system. For me, as an artist with synesthesia and ASD, repetition and texture are organizing forces — not background detail. Visual Fidget becomes a visual stim object, where pattern creates calm and precision becomes embodiment.
