In a world where it's easy to become disillusioned or lose touch with our whimsical side, this artwork is a reminder to rediscover that childlike awe and focus on the beauty around us. The woman in the secret garden represents the idea that whimsy and positivity can be nurtured, even in the most hidden corners of our hearts and minds. Growing up as a first-generation Dominican American in the vibrant streets of New York City, imagination became my escape. Through books, movies, and even daydreams, I learned that perspective is powerful. With this artwork, I wanted to remind others that sometimes, it’s okay to put our rose-colored glasses back on and see the good around us—perhaps we need it now more than ever.
