Vernal Return

Vernal Return is a generative fractal composition unfolding through four seasonal states. Rather than depicting nature directly, the work traces the energetic logic of the year — growth, saturation, contraction, and renewal — as a continuous visual system. Color, density, and structural rhythm shift gradually across the sequence, mirroring how seasons are experienced internally rather than observed externally. Greens expand and deepen, forms accumulate and darken, light thins and recedes, and warmth returns — not as repetition, but as transformation. The piece operates as a closed loop: each phase contains the imprint of what came before and the signal of what will follow. Like the seasons themselves, the system never resets — it evolves.
